Actually friend, it's an English story (Romeo and Juliet is a play by William Shakespeare) in Japanese (although the amount of creative liberty they're using is amazing), with an Irish song in Japanese :).

Continuing in the tradition pioneered by Osamu Tezuka (which was influenced greatly by Isaac Asimov's ROBOT in his work Astro Boy), we now see greater collaboration and influences in Japanese anime by Western and European themes and artists. Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence was premiered in the Cannes Film Festival, taking its philosophical contents from decidedly Cartesian influences. Ergo Proxy, probably the best anime to come out in 2006, used English consistently throughout the show, paid homage to many movies of Science Fiction genre, and even going so far as featuring Radiohead's song "Paranoid Android" as its ending theme. On the vein of popular drama (apart from Romeo and Juliet), the famous novel Emma by Jane Austen is now being animated, as is the famous novel Les Miserables by the incomparable Victor Hugo.

It's a shrinking world, isn't it :)?
